The University of Utah has been named a National Nuclear Security
Administration (NNSA) multidisciplinary center of excellence in the
emerging field of predictive science. This $16 million effort is funded
by NNSA’s Predictive Science Academic Alliance Program II (PSAAP II).
Led by U engineering faculty members Phil Smith, Martin Berzins and David W. Pershing, U of U President, the U’s multidisciplinary simulation center will focus on “The Uncertainty Quantification-Predictive Multidisciplinary Simulation Center for High Efficiency Electric Power Generation with Carbon Capture.”
