The College of Engineering is pleased to welcome Professor Daniel Crowl as the W.W. Clyde Visiting Chair for the 2013-2014 academic year. An expert in chemical process safety education and research, Crowl is the Herbert H. Dow Professor for Chemical Process Safety at Michigan Technological University. He is author of the well-known textbook Chemical Process Safety–Fundamentals with Applications, which has sold more than 30,000 copies worldwide.
While at the U, Crowl will be working with the Department of Chemical Engineering to incorporate safety modules in various courses. He will also teach a course on chemical process safety this spring. This class is open to all engineering and science students at the U.
