Local 5th- and 6th-grade students have been arriving on the University of Utah’s College of Engineering campus to learn more about the wonders of science and technology during this year’s Elementary Engineering Week.
During the four-day event, students get to learn about engineering principles by participating in a variety of exciting activities and demonstrations. Awards and prizes also are handed out to local schools involved in the week. This year’s sponsor, Chevron Corp., is providing $10,000 to local schools to help with their science and math classrooms.
