On Saturday, Nov. 18, more than 345 Utah high school students learned how engineering ideas greatly impact their daily lives.

The students, which also included teens from as far away as California, Idaho and Colorado, attended the University of Utah College of Engineering’s annual Engineering Day, one of its largest outreach events to entice high schoolers to the intriguing world of engineering.

In the all-day event held on the College of Engineering campus, teens attended presentations and took tours of the many research labs as well as engaged in hands-on demonstrations.

The purpose of Engineering Day is to introduce high school students to the unlimited possibilities that an engineering education can bring. Below is a photo gallery of the day’s activities.
