Position Overview
As an early member of TELLUS’s Engineering Team, you will play a significant role in the development, bring-up, and maintenance of TELLUS air quality monitoring systems to directly impact the future of our technology development. We are seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer who thrives on making impactful technical decisions as we strive for product launches. You will excel in this role if you find the prospect of developing solutions for air quality initiatives invigorating, uphold a high standard of quality, and prefer an iterative approach to achieve success.

Responsibilities
– Contribute to the company’s success by innovating, developing, and maintaining TELLUS’s IoT Air Quality Monitor product line.
– Support and participate in all phases of the IoT product life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing.
– Understand complex systems, troubleshoot defects, and provide timely fixes.
– Develop new hardware products by creating schematics, PCB layouts, and working with manufacturers to meet production deadlines.
– Maintain and iterate firmware to align with new hardware.

Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
– Extensive expertise in C programming language for developing embedded systems
– Proficiency in working with real-time operating systems such as FreeRTOS
– Proficiency in schematic design and PCB layout
– Ability to engage in projects involving the US government
– Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn outside of core discipline
