Vacom Systems LLC is looking for a motivated, junior engineer to be a part of our growing team. If you want to work in Park City, Utah, learn about evaporation / crystallization technology and be a part of a team that develops unique environmental equipment for heavy industry, then this job may be for you!
Job Tasks:
• Proposal Development: work with the design team to develop project proposals and budgets for potential projects.
• Project Management: After project award, work with senior engineers to manage equipment and engineering subcontractors to ensure a project is completed on schedule and on budget.
• Equipment procurement: Under the supervision of senior engineers and the procurement manager, purchase equipment components that will be part of a complete Vacom system: such as sensors, valves, and pumps.
• Lab Technician: Work in Vacom’s lab to perform boil down studies and write lab reports that record and explain the test results.
• Pilot-scale operator: While on a customer’s jobsite, operate the pilot scale Vacom system and teach site operators how to operate the system while on 1-2 week site visits.
• General engineering tasks: Prepare P&IDs (Process & Instrumentation Drawings), review 3D models, piping isometrics, equipment datasheets, develop mass balance calculations.
Qualifications:
• B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
• 0-5 years of engineering experience, with a focus on wastewater treatment design
• EIT license is preferred, not necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be willing to commute to the office in Park City, Utah. Must be willing to travel to powerplants, refineries, industrial sites and other locations that will require the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment: such as hard hat, steel toed boots, eye protection, etc…)
