MESA

The University of Utah belongs to MESA/STEP (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement/Science Technology Engineering) a statewide consortium of higher education institutions, businesses and industries, public school districts, community organizations and government agencies.

It strives to increase the number of students in math, science, engineering, and technology-related careers. This is achieved through educational programs and competitions, as well as campus and industry tours. Recognition awards and scholarships are provided to support deserving students.
